Allow disabling Eevee so more computers can use Blender.
I've tested 2.8 on a dozen computers at 3 schools near me (elementary, midddle, high).
Eevee crashes all of them (render & lookdev). But Cycles works on all of them.
It would be nice if there was a way to disable Eevee (lookdev) but keep Cycles (render) and Workbench (wireframe, solid).

Either it's a bug that has to be fixed, or none of those computers you've tested are supposed to be supported by Blender in the first place.
In both cases, such proposal doesn't make sense IMO.
* @-L0Lock- * But most are much newer then my mac and 3 windows laptops that run 2.8 fine. Most definitely have better specs than 2 of my windows laptops except for the video card I guess.
Then it's mostly a bug, a crashing bug none the less, which should be fixed before 2.890 release. So you might report it if you want that to happen.
* @-L0Lock- * Where do I report bugs?
* @thinsoldier * You cant click there, it will even fill the basic infos for you: {attachment opera_sp7MQBmfhxpng}
(Good to note that it's really common to have such thing in a "help" or "about" menu)
It would be more helpful if you posted bug report with system specs.
Can't Eevee be set to default in User Preferences?
* @arb65912 * I don't see that option. Even if it was there the lookdev mode button still would exist, still would use eveee, and still would crash on all those machines.
* @thinsoldier * I did not see either. But if it was available (the option to start Blender with Eevee ) there should not be crashes. Is there any thread for requests or this is the one?
