Smooth connections for union operation
sometimes we need smooth connection between two meshes for smooth transition but when we perform union operation. it just add two object like they place together (No interaction). I have seen a parameter in metaballs called "influence" which acts like bevel strength, this will act as a guide on how much bevel we wants.
There is an addon in may called "Hardmesh" that is capable of doing so and even much more....

did this go anywhere? "bevel after boolean" seems to be dead, or couldn't find it.
Try Bevel After boolean. But it is destructive. Not even CADs can do it for amy type of intersection.
That's pretty complicated, actually. I've never seen a good implementation of this outside of CAD or NURBS modelers. Especially with Boolean operations there's a lot of edgeflow to manage in regards to beveling.
If you don't need to physically join the meshes then you could use the "bevel" node in the shader editor. That adds a beveled effect on overlaps but doesn't change the geometry. Otherwise there is also Decal Machin3 as an addon. There you can create a bevel based upon an extra edge created from the overlap boolean edges. It's a nice system but also has it's limits and isn't merged geometry either.
Don't get me wrong: I'd love to see this but I doubt it will be implemented any time soon. Still: Upvote. ;)
so would it be like putting a Bevel modifier under the Boolean?
