Popup info that obect is there but it's filtered

Hello, sometimes happend to me that in big scene with many object i want to show active object so i can work on lokdev and when i select it in viewport and press show actrive ( ctrl + MMB my shortcut) nothing happend and it getting me crazzy until i discover it's filtered, please consider make some kind popup info in such case. Also, i'd like to suggest pressets in outliner, will be amazing if we could have custom pressets what to be shown and bind shortcuts to pressets. Thanks.
