Undo by objects
Be able to go back on the modifications made on a particular object and not on all the modifications made in blender without discrimination.
It would be a feature never seen elsewhere and so powerful
Use case: select an object, right click, undo. We should find a shortcut too.

A better approach: enhance non destructive workflow
* @ Lsscpp * Of course but I can't figure out exactly how in a practical way. My idea is about an unwanted object modification buried far away in the undo stack but all other changes about other objects are wanted
This is basically the concept of a construction history. A rough prototype of this was made for Blender way back in the day (pre-2.5), but if I recall correctly, there was a lot of memory overhead and there were some minor usability issues with that implementation. The performance and memory hit would my biggest concerns.
Better non-destructive modeling tools would probably be a better approach.
