VSE: Motion blur for Transform Strip
I often resort to simple 2D animation when editing video, but without motion blur it often looks poor. Faking the motion blur with Gaussian Blur Strip is cumbersome and only works for strictly vertical or horizontal motion.
I wish the Transform Strip could apply motion blur when animated to add that bit of realism to 2D animated content in the Sequencer.

Yes please! How has this gathered only 10 votes in 7 years?
Though to me it should be more generalized, either by adding the option to any strip (not just transform strips), or better imo, by using a - keyframable - global setting, (still independent from the 3D render setting).
Note: in case you didn't know, while it is unreasonably cumbersome compared to the likes of After Effects, you can use image planes with animated textures in 3D, move them around, film them with a 3D camera with motion blur and use the scene strip in a separate scene's VSE. While we wait for a simpler solution, that's what I've been doing.
Yes! this would mean making VSE aware of 3d vectors just like the motion blur node is. voted up. As a workaround you could just do all this mblur stuff in the compositor and then link the scene with 'Composite' enabled
Cool!
