Reveal in outliner
I have a suggestion for Blender based on the "Reveal in Outliner" feature in Adobe After Effects. As someone who struggles with naming objects, I often find myself searching for objects within collections in Blender that are buried deep within my projects. This can take several minutes, and I think the Blender community would greatly benefit from a faster solution.
My proposal is to add a "Reveal in Outliner" option to Blender. This would allow you to right-click an object in the viewport and have the corresponding entry in the Outliner highlighted and opened, revealing the selected object within its collection. This would save time and improve workflow for Blender users who have large, complex projects with many objects and collections.

why not just use the period "." hotkey? that's exactly what it's for, without having to dig through a menu to find it every time. If you really fancy digging through context menus to get work done, it's actually already there too: docs.blender.org/manual/en/2.80/editors/outliner.html
"Show Active" is what you're looking for.
Wow that's what i needed, thank you. I knew of the period hot key to center in on the object in the viewport but didn't think to try it in the outliner. Still I think it'd be more beginner friendly to have in options menu that when you click an object it to reveal it in the outliner
It would be friendly to not-beginners, as well.
