Materials thumbnails
It would be so cool to have an material thumbnail browser so you could see all of your material library in the scene and access it easily to apply to the objects etc.

Asset manager is on the 2.8x roadmap. They know, and you would know too if you did a search :)
* @testure * I have searched for a couple of hours now and just found out about the asset manager, so no, its not pop- up straight away in any search engine. But I am happy to hear, that this will coming soon !
