rigify
Is it really necessary for a rigify controller containing more than 400+ skeletons and different contexts (DEF-, HGH-, VIS-)? It is difficult to use. I downloaded some mixamo's animated skeleton data. In order for them to be used by rigify, I tried 4 plug-ins, including writing python by myself. It was too difficult. I found that at least 1200 lines could solve the axial and scaling problems. So I gave up and directly used rokoko. Now rokoko1.4.2 and blender4.3, the extracted list is def- beginning, and the animation result is distorted. The normal usage tutorial of rokoko was 3 years ago.
Blender is 30 years old. Isn't it mature yet? Inventing rigify and z-axis upwards, the developers who use m in units are really disgusting. It's really frustrating.
I don't want to complain. But can you optimize the use of animation tools? Or rigify your own animation asset package.

Hi! Your frustration, however valid it might be, doesn't justify insulting developers and their work nor using this website as your punching bag. Especially over choices like optionally displaying units as meters or using one among four standards . RCS is for structured feature proposals. Blender is a Free and Open Source software. So if you have a specific improvement in mind, it would help to frame it that way. Let’s keep the discussion constructive and respectful.
Regarding Rigify, the complexity you’re describing isn’t unnecessary bloat (nor specific to Blender), it’s what makes a versatile animation rig. Features like multiple bone layers (deformation, mechanical and whatnot) exist to provide flexibility and additional controls for animators. If you find Rigify too complex for your needs, you might be better off using a simpler rig rather than trying to use complex ones.
If your main issue is retargeting animations, that’s a workflow challenge rather than a flaw in Rigify. There are tools and techniques to make it easier. There are addons provided by Adobe or the community to specifically work with Mixamo in Blender. Such as lexicon06/Mixamo-Blender-4.x-add-on
If you’re looking for advice on that, places like Blender Stack Exchange or the Blender Artists forum would be more appropriate places to get help.
It's so painful.
