Offset Snapping (Slider Button)
Hello, Blenderfolks!
Pretty straightforward, isn't it?
Even Drawing with Grease Pencil offers a handy feature like that already (image below):
But in this image below, we can see the current lack of equivalent (Offset Slider Button) feature for the Snapping Popover Menu features; we may realise there's no way to reproduce the Offsetting feature from such Snapping Options alone currently (we'd need to employ other techniques in Blender which are not very practical! remember that Snapping features are not just for Modelling/Sculpting, but they can also be employed in Rigging, and even in Animation Workflows!!! Thus, the overcome of such Snapping limitation sounds fundamental, and it would be very sorrow if we don't have it built-in; also because, apparently, Blender already has got the cards for this kind of feature implementation.
Also, there is another example of handy Offsetting that I'm aware of, but I'll just mention it because I don't use it much as of yet, but perhaps you're familiar with it: is the Retopology feature for Edit Mode on Mesh Object; so, another UI situation where Offsetting is present.
PS: If the Snapping Offset feature should work with ANY Snap Target (e.g., Vertex, Edge, Face, Volume, Face Project...), I'm not sure atm; but what I'm sure is that, a Snapping Offset Slider Button feature should totally be implemented for the Face Snap Target Option as well as the Face Project & (probably why not also) Face Nearest Snap Target for Individual Elements Options.
Cheers!
