Pack Alembic .abc into a .blend file
I wish, I wish, I wish Blender would pack Alembic data into a blend file.
I've just tried to give work colleagues different scenes to render from the same project on their home computers.
the image files packed nicely but the Alembic modify cache was pointing in the wrong place :(

Why not just change your file paths to relative and zip the folder structure with the files before sending them? Animated alembic files can reach several GB in size easily and I can't even imagine the fun you'd have with autosaves happening, not to mention having v001 all the way up to v129 of the scene in your file system.
* @shadingandlighting * I haven't tried changing all the paths to relative. Good idea. Thank you. Regardless of the size of alembic files I'd still like to be able to pack them. Easier to email and the recipient can always unpack it at their end?
