Orthograhic and Perspective view Slider
In the preferences we can change the duration of the animation that happens when changing viewport views, like, changing from top to left view, or between orthographic and perspective view and so on. But there is no slider in the camera settings to change between orthographic and perspective views. It would be useful to make, for example, the push and pull camera effect, and instead of pulling the camera away from the subject, we could only change the value of the slider to be nearer the ortograhic perspective and so on.
Another step (for the future) would be to create other rendering parameters on the way the camera sees the 3d space, like non linear perspective rendering. See the post in the link gamasutra.com/blogs/RobertPepperell/20200527/363615/FOVO_A_new_3D_rendering_technique_based_on_human_vision.php
There is also a demo video: vimeo.com/384586877 But as I sad, this would be far more difficult to do.

It's pretty difficult to change smoothly from perspective to orthographic. That's why there are animations to move from view to view, but changing directly from perspective to orthographic in the viewport is just a toggle.
This is due to the way orthographic and perspective projection works, where at some point in blending between them you have to have a hard switch over to using a different projection method.
If you really want that type of effect, you can animate the camera focal length to be something really high, while animating the position and clipping ranges to make the camera feel still.
