Hollow the model for 3D printing

Iam aware using thickness or extrude the model by normals. But it completely does not work with complicated models. May be it doesn't need the whole new function just to add some options with the thickness modifier, like to stop intersecting or merging the insides

For now iam using meshmixer and i think with few functions in blender I wouldn't need to.

For example the problem is when you have a model and you add a 2 mm thickness, but there is a part of that model that is actually too small to add that thickness. The modifier then goes nuts and makes intersecting and bad geometry instead of let that part be completely full.

I've written a tool for that. It got integrated in the 3DPrint Toolbox from Blender Addons, so it should be available with a future version of Blender.

Meanwhile, a stand alone version of the tool is available here . It should work with Blender versions 3.5 and above.
