Dynamic timeline text or remove groups color

the text and the icons are super hard to see in the time line and there is no way to turn off groups colors on the timeline editor

and i really don't understand how to change the groups color. cant even find anything in the documentation

P.S i did change my themes text to see it but this is the default. but that's not something i should have to do as a new comer to the software
