Physical sky with sun disk

The current blender world lighting sky texture lack some control like radiance functions and sun disk. We need new environment shader with folowing options.

  • Option to enable disable sun for day and night lighting.

  • Intensity (multiplier for the sky radiance sky radiance).

  • Angle system for Location of the sun with .

  • Turbidity Turbidity determines the overall aerosol content (dust, moisture, ice, fog) of the air. It is used to easily define sky appearance and affects the color of the sun and sky.

Turbidity values range from 1 to 10:
          2 - Yields a very clear, Arctic-like sky.
          3 - A clear sky in a temperate climate.
          6 - A sky on a warm, moist day.
         10 - A slightly hazy day.

  • Custom color tab for ground albedo. The amount of light reflected from the planet surface back into the atmosphere. This is an RGB value between 0 and 1, where 0 0 0 would correspond to a black ground, and 1 1 1 would be a white ground. Note, that this is a subtle effect.

  • custom color for sky tint and sun tint.Allows you to set a color that 'tints' the sky and sun color. The sky and sun tint should be used for subtle coloration. For example making the sky a slightly deeper blue color..

Do you mean something like that? youtu.be/pJEZhVL6v08

* @Paul Kotelevets * yes but inbuilt support for cycles.

So, rather than linking to the documentation of another application, how about providing some mock-up images that show how you would improve Blender's existing feature?

* @Jason van Gumster * I'm not that smart thats why i leave it to you guys and girls :).

* @Jason van Gumster * why is there a incomplete tag in my proposal ?

jason

* @apex.kumaran7 * Because it's really not enough to point to another application's documentation and say, "make it like this." This site is for clear, specific, actionable feature proposals. You don't need to know how the feature actually works... but since it's your proposal, you should be able to show how you envision the controls looking in Blender. Where in Blender's interface would you put this? There's already a Sky Texture material node. Would you add these features to that, or replace it?

These are the considerations you should think through and explain for a complete proposal.

It would be awesome if this were implemented in blender master, in the meantime you can checkout the paid physical starlight and athmosphere addon for blender. It does exactly what you want and more.

Your proposal is marked incomplete because it is a broad feature request. Someone would actually need to create mockups for all the buttons and placements, how the sun is controlled, what parameters are accessible and describe/show what each function does. Until someone does this, developers will be less likely to start working on this.
