Boolean Enhancement

Hey, there I saw this Maya Plugin today called HardMesh, it would be amazing when Blenders Boolean Operations could work in a similar way.

Reference: hard-mesh.com/

There is a Documentation there on how it works and what it can do.

While I'm sure everyone agrees that booleans can be improved (Howard Trickey mentioned it's likely to be his next focus after Bevel), it's not sufficient to just post another piece of software (or plugin) and say, "make it like this." How would it work in Blender? How would it look? Also, why should Blender have built-in functionality that another general DCC has as a plug-in?

We have HardOps and BoxCutter by MasterXeon1001 which basically does what HardMesh seems to do. And we've had HardOps for a long time already :)

Not integrated in the basic Blender version thou. Boolean and bevel operations need a lot of work within the basic toolkit.

If I'm not mistaking, HardOps use definitive action directly on the mesh, so it's a destructive workflow.
Other addons do it with modifiers, in a non-destructive way. Like Speedflow.

And, none of them bring actual new tools to Blender, they use Blender's tools and add an extra layer of user-friendly UI and automatize some repetitive tasks.

@rence.jaeger: @OP; you would do well to improve this topic to get more attention to the subject.

@Rence.jaeger HardOPS and BoxCutter are "not" at all similar to HardMesh. The closest alternative we have in Blender is an add-on called "bevel after boolean" but its definitely not at the same level.
