is anyone working on supporting AMD 500 on Macbook Pro OS? Would be huge! Such a popular platform be a shame not to support this and grow the Blender community even more.

use bootcamp to get windows or linux running on it, then work from there. Apple cut out openCL support in favor for the Metal API... which blender doesnt support . so youre out of luck thanks to Apple.
Maybe install a linux distro like PopOS as a virtual machine in a virtual machine host like VirtualBox - just a suggestion - don't know if would work for you, but might
