Automatically Select Render device

In system preferences, where you select what to render with (None/CUDA/Optix/...) why can't there be an "Auto" option, which would be the default?

Basically, it would check your GPU and CPU setup and selects which render device option suits it best for fastest renders. if it's and RTX card, use Optix, if it's a GTX card, use CUDA, etc... Blender already automatically knows which selection your hardware supports. This is evident because it says "No compatible GPU found" if you select the wrong option.

Just one less thing for the user to think about, or new users to know about before rendering...

This is something you see all the time with new users. Most don't go through every setting, and even then most wouldn't know what this one does. And yet, it's one of the most important settings

What if you had an Nvidia card and an AMD card? How would it choose between the two?

If blender cannot render with both of them, i think it would just default to the Slot 1 GPU. Maybe prompt the user, that it can't figure it out.
