"Select > Select Random" is good behaviour actually
Categories might be read as a continuous sentence, but more often they are not read at all. When using the space/f3 search, "select random" "edge slide" "make vertex parent" rather than for example "make parent" are much more valuable phrases, even if the user isn't ignoring the semi-lit search result path.
"Okay but shouldn't we then make the menus as speech-like as possible and solve the shortcomings when accessing them through outside means like the search, when tackling the search behaviour?"
No, it's my position that no-context labels are superior UX in the case of navigating the menus as well. Most options by far don't insert or work if you did insert, the menu category heading before the option name. For example "Knife Project" rather than the user being expected to translate it to "Mesh Knife Project". Using full descriptive sentences to label options allows for less ambiguity in function, an easier time with translating, an easier time reorganising category structure in the future, and enables users to scan all the headings in the event they're unsure which category their desired option would reside in.
