Warning - Missing Composite Connection in Render Animation
Hi everybody.
I just finished rendering an animation that took hours only to find out that it rendered black! I had been fiddling with the compositor and forgot to connect to the composite node - hours of rendering work lost :-( Now, wouldn't it be a GREAT idea to have a warning box popping up if the composite node is not connected? Or even better - not being able to render if the node is not connected?
Cheers

You do need to be able to render even when not connected to an output, we often need that when having multiple layers or scenes in the node tree.
A warning should definitely be there, and for both composite and file output nodes.
