Make values exposable for shaders with group input node
I'm sure you know that in geometry nodes, connecting anything to group input will expose that attribute in modifier stack for ease of access.
Yet, shader nodes have exact same node available, but it just doesn't work. Instead, shader tab shows you the last node plugged into output in it's entirety. I suspect it's probably a crutch from old Blender render engine when Cycles was just introduced.
I believe making it possible to instead label and expose needed attributes (like it only does inside the group nodes) outside of shader to the Properties tab will make it SO much easier to use shaders, especially complex shaders that are sold to people who don't understand them. It will make changing parameters much more intuitive and simple. And will save so much space.

Is that what you mean? {attachment 'p9o1' does not exist}
There is actually such a workaround... Still better to have it by default. I'd never thought of this.
