Extend the functionality of the "Add Cube" tool

"Add a Cube" is a very good tool that has been sorely lacking in the past. But as a furniture maker, I miss its current functionality a little. I would like to keep track of the dimensions of the part being created at the time of its creation, and not after it is ready. After that I have to manually specify the desired thickness of the part (which is usually 16mm, 18mm). Then I have to drag the part to the right place.
