Filter field for adding modifiers

Currently, if you click the "add modifier" drop-down, a long list of modifiers is shown.

Hitting any key causes one to be chosen if it is assigned (I presume this is hardcoded, and is indicated with underscores). E.g. "M" will add a "Mesh Cache" modifier.

I'd rather have a focused field that allows me to type an arbitrary prefix to match against the list for dynamic filtering; enter to select the first of the remaining modifiers in the list.

E.g. "la" reduces to "Laplacian Deform" and "Lattice", enter selects the laplacian deform. This request is partly for the speed, but mostly because it's a long list and takes a while to find things sometimes.

Perhaps users would appreciate the option between the current method and this idea.
