Grease Pencil 3.0 for CAD Drawing

Hello,

i am using AutoCAD for creating plans and import them than as a .dxf to blender and make them 3D. The outcome is very good and i have no problems with drawing precise in Blender. I created height note with geometry nodes that show the z direction on a text and update automatical.

The problem is if i change something in Autocad i have always to reimport the stuff in Blender and update them.

With freestyle i can make .svg exports and so something like plans. With grease pencil this is impossible (for me) but i can draw more precise, but i can´t change the lines later and i can´t get information about length or so on.

So my question is: Is it possible with Blender grease pencil 3.0 to draw a bit more like in AutoCAD in Blender? I know that the focus of blender is visualisation, but it could be a win-win to draw precise like in Autocad in blender also for 3D-Artists!

Blender doesn't really excel at anything "precision" but it gets by. Maybe you should look into BlenderBIM Addon
