Remove or increase hard limits in particle velocity settings
Particle normal velocity (ParticleSettings.normal_factor) has a hard max of 1000 m/s. Object aligned velocities (ParticleSettings.object_align_factor) have a hard max of 200 m/s.
Do these quantities need to have a hard maximum at all? If not, I think it should removed, and if they do, does it have to be these specific numbers or could they be higher? They seem oddly random.

This is an odd max limit. I'm working on VFX shots with real world scale and creating bullet tracers and for this use the max limit is way too slow. Only way I can make them faster is to scale everything down and that's not really ideal. EDIT: Pointing at the Object aligned Velocities max limit of 200m/s
Will 300 000 km/s be enough?
* @ Vyacheslav * But what if the particles are tachyons? :P (But yeah any high velocity would be nice.)
* @Elukka * I just tested. 1000 m/s it is 40m per frame for regular 25 fps. And 8.3 m per frame for hispeed 120 fps. Not too much at one hand. But on another it is 8m almost smudged line. So it is is better to emulate it with shaders.
idk when you need so fast and well visible particles
* @ Vyacheslav * I don't see why it should be limited unless there's a good technical reason. Whether 1 km/s is fast or not depends entirely on how far away you're looking at it from, and the scale of your scene. I can definitely think of things like rocket plumes or explosions where I might want particles to go faster.
