SVG sequence importer
Hey!
I've seen this very exciting development in grease pencil: youtube.com/watch?v=vnpIpnLmTH0
Any possibility of implementing an SVG sequence importer?
That would open the possibility of achieving something like this in Blender: youtu.be/WvaZoOGHmzQ?t=590
And that would be awesome!

but this is the exact functionality we already have with grease pencil strokes
it's just encoded in a different way, imo better see, with evg sequences it's really hard to animate them with keyframes, since the shape itself is not "blobby" but a really fragile boundary (fragile in that if the vectors don't mach up it's going to get messed up with self-intersections)
it's more akin to using pieces of string with ink bubbles inside them rather than actual blobs
* @meutzitzu * the issue here is that, for artists that are not used to grease pencil, it would be better to export an svg sequence, let's say from Illustrator or Animate CC and then convert it to a 3D effect in blender.
