Outliner "shortest path" object selection
How about to use CTRL+SHIFT+CLICK to quickly select list of objects in the outliner. That way we continue to use blender logic for the shortest path selection during the modeling process and use it in the outliner. So the users should get it pretty quick. For now to do the similar task we need to select objects with box selection or just click it one by one, then right click and choose "select" in the drop-down.

Hi, I posted something similar in the devTalk forum but without much response yet. Hope this post gets a bit more attention. devtalk.blender.org/t/outliner-suggestions/1030
hello , i already make a thread on this blender.community/c/rightclickselect/TMbbbc/
pablo heard about this , he may have done some work on the subject idk
@dodododorian: Do you guys hear about any feature request from rightclickselect getting into the blender? Would be great to have at least one feature at a month choosed by the developers and implemented. At least something small, just to see the interaction actually going.
@Buster Friendly: I think the best way is launcher similar to Epic Games one. It contain community news, spotlights, blogs, marketplace, tutorials, owned on marketplace items library, etc. In Blender case it also can contain recent/hot feature request. It can help populate such activity...
@Buster Friendly: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/vMbbbc/ yes they listen ,this post i made was going straight to the devloppers ears after it got to the first page in 3 days , drag n drop modifiers also , if community shows that they are concerned devloppers will notice , the post just need unanimity
I was write long post about it few weeks ago HERE . But as I already say - this web site work mostly in " no one read this, no one care " mode. Old posts drown under tons of new ones created daily. There is no administrator who could assign some status, merge or redirect similar suggestion into one branch. No one care & search what was written month or two ago.
If you really need it right now - here is already addon Outliner Extend Keys . It have lot of functions but because it was written for old API the only what work - multi select with
Shift + Double Click. It's a pity that I don't understand code and I don't know how to make it fully work in current 2.79. It's also pity that this addon isn't included to default Blender add-ons list as if nobody is interested and it is not necessary.
@forestgumpovu4: I guessed that situation with this site is something that you talking about. I did a couple of posts, Just as I was new to it, Sad things, but we can't complain much about free software. Thanks for addon though.
@Buster Friendly: Of course we can't complain much about free software. But it wasn't change the fact that this constant " BETA " condition of this place is annoying :)
