Wireframe mode being truly wireframe
Here you can see two cubes, partially overlapping each other. When I set viewport rendering to wireframe, I expect only edges to be rendered, not faces. And this is true until two faces overlap - then I experience z-fighting. Which leads to the conclusion that wireframe mode is not quite wireframe in fact...
There are specific cases, like hard surface modelling or working with multiple layers of maps etc. when you DO need overlapping faces, even though it is not generally recommended for modelling.
I wish I could avoid z-fighting in wireframe mode and have ONLY edges rendered in viewport, as it happens in many other programs.

That should be reported as a bug IMHO. That's not a feature request.
* @-L0Lock- * Where can I report bugs?
* @einstein * From blender itself, goto Help>report a bug
I reported a bug: developer.blender.org/T84592 They don't consider it a bug. You don't find it a feature request. Yet it's irritating. Then whatddaheck is it?
* @einstein * Just wait, so far it was only triage. "They" don't consider it anything yet. Need to have a developer look at it.
Considering Blender was able to allow overlapping booleans, I think they could easily get rid of z-fighting (or at least make it a lot less noticeable).
Side note, it would be kind of cool to have an overlay that highlights faces that are overlapping or too close to each other.
