Feature Request: Add global scrollwheel manipulation for changing values
Feature Request
When manipulating an object it'd be nice to scroll wheel up and down to adjust the value. For instance:
g -> z -> scroll wheel up
will move an object on the z axis.
Viewport Regression clarification
In 2.7x you were able to manipulate the viewport with scrollwheel in a similar fashion to the request. That functionality has been removed in 2.8x+ for some reason but the default zoom
scrollwheel
and
alt + scroll wheel
was kept in. Was there a specific reason? Was it too confusing with multiple key maps?
Edit:
Removed scrollwheel over hovering on numeric input field request as it's implemented with
ctrl + scrollwheel
.

Don't know if I should add this to this feature request or add another one, but it'd be great to add scroll wheel functionality to change tabs when hovering over top tabs / properties tabs too. The functionality only exists on n panel tabs currently. I BELIEVE I saw this requested on a blender today stream but I'm not sure if someone has taken action on this.
If you hover over a field and press CTRL + SCROLLWHEEL, the values will be incremented
