Automatic camera clipping link to rendering visibility of objects.
An option to link the camera clipping distances to the renderable/visibility aspect of scene objects. Allowing for larger scenes to be worked on in real-time, with objects automatically being dynamically set to renderable/visible based on whether they are clipped by the camera or not rather than manually enabling and disabling collections.

im working on a addon that can do dynamic clipping distances, maybe you want to give it a try. Im not sure though if it can speed up a scene like you describe. maybe you can can give it a try and let me know your experience.

EDIT: i can try to add the visibility/rendering as you suggested and see how well that performs
Enabling/Disabling viewport visibility can hang blender for a little while on big collections. I doubt it could be done smoothly while moving the view.
But this option could be done using a specific button I guess. Anyway, it can easily be achieved with a python script.
* @Alexandre Labedade * Definitely depends on computer specs and project specifics I suppose. In my case several million poly with shaders can be enabled and disabled without issue, but I could see it having issues on lower end machines. Would be a useful python script though for sure!, even if it's a more niche use case.
