Implement Krakatoa into Cycles? Or something similar?
I heard that other software use KRAKATOA for ther volumetric and rendering set up. Could Blender make use of this? I believe that Blender will get a rendering supercharge with this implement.
I understand that KRAKATOA is not a free program, maybe there might be an open source solution to this.

Checked the product page and this is a renderer for particles ONLY. It will NOT accelerate Blender perhaps only for particles.
There is a C++ API a developer could use to create a connexion between Blender and this render when rendering particles ... You could ask them(Krakatoa) as @Alex mentioned for a plug-in for Blender.
Best way to get support for that would be to ask them on their forums. Third-party products are not the responsibility of the BF. However more and more companies are more open to developing for blender. No promises it will be effective though.
