General: Fix the quirky undo and redo
Current state: the CTRL/CMD Z shortcut is being unpredictable; sometimes work on the general UI, sometimes only on the selected panel. Same with the redo.
It may even CANCEL THE CURRENT RENDER whereas you just want to cancel your last action (location shift for example). This is a no go!
I don't know if it comes from the shortcut or from the undo, but it's not smooth anyways.
Solution: harmonize the undo (and redo) and its shortcut for a smooth, undoing the last action only, experience, like in most content creation softwares.
Advanced Blender geeks may tell me "you don't know how to use the undo function properly". They may be right. But in any case, any user should not have to watch 3 tutorials, read 12 forums and mistakenly cancel 7 renders to get how the this basic action works in Blender.

there are a lot of undo topics. I don't exactly know, what you mean, but I find it very strange, that I can undo movements in the viewport, but not the settings of the modifiers, especially if I try something in viewport and modifiers and decide, I want the status before back.
