Edit Collection Instance with the Tab button

Wouldn't it be cool to have the ability to edit any collection instance on the fly with automatic propagation to every other related instance?

My idea is to do this in place with a Tab button applied to any collection not only the original one.

Here is the somewhat similar GitHub addon which takes you to sort of a solo mode where you edit the original collection: github.com/SuperFLEB/BlenderEditCollectionAddon

Thanks!
