Add "Steps" to extrude for simple repeat
Hi, I'm rather new to Blender but one there is one thing I tend to do often when working on architectural models. A simple example would be creating a series of boxes of specific length. I could create the shape and loop cut, but that is a bit hard when specific dimensions are needed. I could also use Extrude Repeat, but that command seems unnecessarily difficult requiring multiple entries. If the Extrude command could simply have a "Steps" field added to the interface similar to the Extrude Repeat, that would be incredibily useful.

You can press Shift R to repeat your last action. Therefore, do one extrusion of the length you want, then press Shift R as many times as you want it repeated.
I didn't know that, thanks! I might be hard for larger numbers but it's great!
Yes, but it helps in the meantime 😉
It's also a feature request similar to this (with a different approach):
Extrude Tool: Add the subdivision parameter options for the extruded polygons profile — Right-Click Select
That is similar. I searched for any other requests but didn't find that one. That approach seems a bit more complicated and I'm not sure it addresses my problem of wanting to have multiple iterations of the same dimension. It seems easier to extrude by the amount you specify and then just repeat X times. An option to remove the internal planes between the each extrusion would also be nice but I was trying to keep it extremely simple.
Thanks for putting me on to extrude repeat. Can't believe I didn't know about that. What do you mean by it's "unnecessarily difficult requiring multiple entries"? Do you mean how it starts with values in all axis instead of extruding in the direction of the face's normal so you have to clear the two you don't want and then fill in the one you do? I feel like this proposal should be to fix that and make Extrude Repeat more user-friendly maybe with mouse control like regular extrude has.
Funny, I was thinking I should also make that exact entry. It would be much easier if the extrusion is consistent with an axis to zero out the others. You would still have to find the axis you want to change but it would be better.
