Video editor, cut out "ehrrrmm"

I edit a long piece where I am talking more or less constantly. I have lost count how many "eehhhrrrmmm" I have cut out. This is how it is done:

1. Find the start, CUT.
2. Make sure mouse cursor is in the right place to have the right clip selected after the cut.
3. Find the end, CUT.
4. Make sure mouse cursor is in the right place to have the right clip selected after the cut.
5. DELETE.
6. View the video to see that it was ok.

Here is how I would love to do it:

1. Select a range of frames I want to cut.
2. A preview starts playing from 2 seconds before to 2 seconds after to check the cuts position is correct.
3. Make the cut. This will cut at start and end of selection, delete the middle part and move the clip after to match the first.
