Geometry Node : Mesh Grid with 1 Vertices X or Y

Currently the Grid node allows a minimum of 2 vertices in X or Y , which is completely logical as it's the bare minimum to form a plane...

However this node could be more versatile if it allowed a minimum of 1 :

For instance, X = 1, Y = 10 would form a line with 10 points.

X = 1 , Y = 1 would form only a point.

I agree that in these cases it's no longer a grid, however this can be convenient to have. Say I use that grid to instance some elements. I can then have them forming a line, or display just one element, rather than having to make a bunch of switch or a custom nodegroup just for that.

In fact it's already a bit there if we do that, it ends up creating a line : 2025-02-14_09-21.png

The point isn't supported however...

What do you think ?

Hello ! 2 is a "soft" limit, if you manually input 1 in either field it will create a line, and if you set 1 in both fields it will create a single vertex. You can actually set 0 or negative numbers, though this does produce an empty mesh.
