Keymap Shortcut

I would love a keymap shortcut, so i can change to industry compatible when i have my Maya navigation brain on and then with a shortcut change to Blender keymap. This will allow me to use all the shortcuts that don't exist in industry compatible keymap as well as then being able to follow majority of tutorials shortcuts which are all in blender Keymap mode. Thank you for your awesome work.

A shortcut to switch between Keymap presets? Hmm.. That would be a bit overkill IMO.

What you can do is edit your current keymap and create a mix of both presets (Blender and Industry Compatible). That's what I did and it works like a charm. Then save your custom keymap (and export it).

I disabled the "Hide Collection" (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8) keys in Object mode. Now when I press:

  • 1, it switches to Edit Vertex mode,
  • 2, it switches to Edit Edge mode,
  • 3, it switches to Edit Face mode,
  • 4, it switches to Object mode,
  • 5, it switches to Sculpt mode,
  • 6, it switches to Vertex Paint mode,
  • 7, it switches to Weight Paint mode,
  • 8, it switches to Texture Paint mode.
