Don't have the Cycles render view refresh after minor UI interactions
Why does the Cycles render view have to update when you, say, change the name of a collection? or when you add a node to a shader before it's connected to anything and so is inconsequential to the render, or if you move objects from one container to another?
It can greatly speed up render previews if it can run in the background while you do some scene organizing.

This is kind of a bug, but at the same time a good paper-cut that drives me nuts. Especially when you know what nodes you want to add but have to add a lot of them, it would be great to be able to add all of them first, and then plug them in so the UI isn't lagging a whole bunch while I'm dragging nodes around
You should report it as a bug. I think Ive seen somewhere in developer.blender.org an issue like this that was spoted already
