Do we need a 2d view?
It would be nice a 2D view for the new area of drawing, painting and 2D animation. Just as we have for painting, image editing and video editing. So you can switch between a lighter and simpler version and this current version of 2D art in a 3D environment.

With respect to some feature requests made elsewhere, e.g. *) view lock for drawing, *) view rotation for drawing (krita-style), *) view flipping for drawing (krita-style), which all from a drawing standpoint are very reasonable but in their entirety pose UX challenges for incorporation in the current viewport, I find this a reasonable question to ask.
Where I do agree with the other posters however, is that as a proposal this is currently much too vague ("One does not simply add a new editor type" ;)). If you provide some wires/mockups and substantial design research outlining what exactly this would solve and how it would roughly function, I think this can be further discussed. Without that however I don't see this going anywhere right now, realistically speaking.
* @Simon Repp * A view with 3D rotation lock or in the style of software like Krita describes what I imagine as a 2D view. UV editor has a 2D painting area too. The goal is to allow adaptation for new users, and not to cause strange and navigation difficulties when we want to deal only with 2D drawing and animation in Blender. The current layout is very confusing and with poor placement.

Why not just have a feature for view locking in the 3D View?
* @Jason van Gumster * I imagine it would be lighter than the current alternate version of 3D view we have. But I also suggested a lock for Blender's drawing mode, at least in orthographic view. But it was not well received.
* @thiagocavalcantecarvalho * How would it be any lighter? We already have a few different 2D views in Blender now (Image, UV, Compositor, VSE, Motion Tracker). This sounds like either you're requesting something that already exists or you're asking for a feature without knowing what exactly it would be used for.
* @Jason van Gumster * Man, open Blender 2.8. Create an image file for 2D animation. Open a 2D program like Photoshop, GIMP, Krita, MedBang, Draw, Harmony. Also open the Blender UV area. Now see the 3D view of Blender, which has been restructured into the drawing and animation mode. Should we have a completely 2D option, like in 2D software, or at least have an option to move the camera without rotating it? (When in orthogonal view like the camera or top view)
* @thiagocavalcantecarvalho * We should not have a separate 2D workspace, no. We have plenty of those already. A view lock for the 3D View, however, is a solid solution.
What do you call a "2D view" ?
* @-L0Lock- * What we have in all 2D software. And what we have in UV mapping mode.
