Save Shade Nodes and Geometry Nodes as external files
Hi,
Maybe this idea or suggestion is not new in this community. But, I want to suggest a function to save Shade Node and Geometry Node as an external file.
As a Rhinoceros with Grasshopper user too, one of useful function of grasshopper of rhino, which is a rhino-version of Geometry node is a function to save the nodes of grasshopper as an external file.
It is extremely helpful to archive existing nodes for future projects and share it with other team members.
Please see a youtube clip to show how to save and open GH file in Rhino.
If Blender provide this function, work efficiency with shade nodes and geometry nodes will be much higher. Also, Blender users can share their nodes more easily so that the knowledge of nodes in blender community can be expanded more quickly like how Rhino+Grasshopper community has done so far.
This is one example to show how grasshopper community to share their node file. You can see attachment files in the posting.

I think one of the reason that Grasshopper of Rhino has been successful is to allow saving GH nodes as an external file and GH users can share it easily.
So, I hope this function will be in Blender too. Thank you.

I would really like to have that for GN but also for shader graphs! Like juste the graph as a .blend file. This is something I really miss from other packages, plus it would be super convenient combined with the asset browser!
It would allow easy sharing of node trees, with much less data being stored unnecessary for sharing.
Maya can export - selected element or everything - as a maya file. Blender could do literally the same. Offer the option to import/export a .blend file with a selection filter and whatnot.
There are other threads with same idea. Go vote those too to grow interest in the idea:

Thanks, lol, one is mine :)
