Will you ever consider heat simulations in 2.8

I think we need heat & cold simulations as in fluids, gases, winds, objects, etc. Imagine boiling water to power steam engines or an iceberg melting inside an active volcano. Imagine throwing water on a hot pan, the heat giving off steam.

This is a very broad, complex idea. More details on how this could be implemented would be helpful. Would this be it's own simulation system, or integrated into each of the pre-existing systems?

Yes, it would be nice to have full Thermodynamics simulation in Blender, but for most cases the desired visual effect can be emulated well enough for most users with current/ upcoming features. (Dynamic Paint, Force Fields, Fluids, and Particles/ Particle Nodes. The Smoke system already does take heat into account.) CAD and Engineering programs like SolidWorks already have all-encompassing sim systems... that's part of why they cost a lot of $$$.
