Make Clip Start and End setting universal to all Model Viewing windows.

It would be nice to only have to set the Clip Start and End one time and have it affect all windows that display the model(s).

Add setting in the preferences to turn on/off global clip setting?

If this feature were integrated into Blender, how would you suggest that there still be support for 3D Viewports with different clip values?

* @Jason van Gumster * Crap... I meant to replay to you above.. They could add a setting in the preferences to turn on/off global clip setting?

* @thecooltool * I don't know. This doesn't necessarily sound like something that would be a global setting... a "set once and never mess with again" kind of thing that would go in Preferences. It seems more like something a user would want to vary based on whatever they're doing in the moment.

* @Jason van Gumster * That isn't what I was getting at.... I was thinking, have a check box that when check, entering Clip plane depths would update all windows. I understand why some would want to have individual settings, especially if one is rendering large scenes full of small models.

It's not a huge thing to have to set it once each load.. It gets annoying having to reset it every time I open a different window. Having a check box that would set all windows when I set one of them would be a time saver for me.. and others I'm sure.

This is a "back burner" sorta thing.. I'd like to have it added but I won't lay awake worrying over it :) Thanks for the input Jason.

* @thecooltool * At the very least, I think something like this could probably be automated with an add-on. Do you think it should be a setting for a single workspace or across all workspaces?

* @Jason van Gumster * </br> For what I'm doing, It would be nice to apply it across all work spaces.</br> Having a universal setting and a check box to enable it would be ideal.</br> I'm not sure how add-ons work yet. I've not studied the coding.</br> Is it Python Scripting, C or a mix?</br>

* @thecooltool * It's all done in Python.
