"Apply Scale" prompt idea

I would like to see the following UI feature: Immediately after making a scale change, a prompt pops up asking "Permanently Apply Scale?" with a yes/no option. A touch of (or click on) "y" applies scale; a touch of (or click on) "n" cancels application of scale.

This one keystroke (or click) addition to the UI would be a lot less work than having to remember to apply scale, and having to hit ctrl-A, then mousing to "Scale" on the pop-up menu.
