Change Mist Depth to Mist End
Currently, users control Mist in Blender by adjusting a Mist Start and Mist Depth control. The Depth is measured from the Start, meaning entering, say, 10 in Start and 20 in Depth will result in a mist pass that ends 30m away.
In addition to making changes slightly more annoying, since the second value may have to be readjusted any time the first is changed, this control is an outlier—all other controls in Blender of a similar type, like camera clip, work with a more intuitive Start and End value.
Changing the second control to an End distance the user can enter directly would make the Mist pass slightly faster to set up and bring the controls into line with other similar tools, making the Mist pass work the way I suspect a lot of people already assume it does!
