Preference check box for Show menu

Wouldn't it be great if a user of Blender didn't have to go through every editor just so that they could turn off "show menus" .

A check box in preferences for handling "show menu" could handle this.

Would be great to see this option be consistent when windows are popped out from the UI as well.

A similar option for the side panels in editors and the 3D viewport operations.

Consideration for every editor to have its checkboxes would offer refined control over the editors. A global switch controlling all editors would be good as well.

What's the aversion to menus?

when there are a lot of editors on one screen, some important buttons which are aligned to the right of the topbars are hidden and you need to scroll the topbars to press them. by hiding the long lists of menus (especially if there are added ones like from add-ons) we make the topbar more compact and accessible.
