Mirror Modifier: Disabling "Vertex Groups" should prevent copying vertex weights

Proposal:

When "Vertex Groups" is disabled in the Mirror Modifier, mirrored geometry should be created without copying any vertex weights.

Currently, disabling this option does not prevent vertex weights from being copied. Instead, Blender duplicates the vertex group assignments exactly as they exist on the original side.

Example:

Original mesh: UpperArm.L → weighted left arm

After applying Mirror (Vertex Groups disabled)

Left side → UpperArm.L

Right side → UpperArm.L

This means the right side of the mesh now has the same vertex weights under UpperArm.L as the left side, even though the Vertex Groups option was disabled.

As a result, the mirrored side of the mesh will also be affected by any operations that rely on that vertex group, such as armature deformation or modifiers that use vertex group masks.

Problem

This behavior is misleading because disabling Vertex Groups suggests that vertex group data should not be copied to the mirrored geometry.
