Search field for elements in themes panel?
Problem: It can be hard to find a theme element that you want to change, and it can become pretty tedious to customize a theme if you only want to change a couple of types of interface element, having to find each instance of it buried in layers of menu.
Solution: A search box in the 'Themes' settings panel.
I could be wrong, but I'd at least think that would be easy to implement without taking much time, given that the UI elements are already available, and it would be massively useful, especially compared to the work involved to implement it.

Hey maekern, I implemented something over the last few days. Just uploaded the differential and now wait for the code review. Beneath the property filter, there is now also a color filter.

* @tobiaslangen * Oh, awesome, thank you! I'm not one of The Cool Kids who can just grab code from a repository and build myself a copy of Blender, but I'll be keen to see that feature.
(sorry for not replying; I didn't realize that this form doesn't send me an email notification when a post of mine gets a comment)
* @maekern * Looks like my solution should be more generic, which is way more complex. As I probably won't have the time to implement it completly, I might just share my findings in the end. I am not sure when and by whom this feature comes, but something like a general search seems to be already planned as a mid-term goal by the developers: developer.blender.org/T71185
* @tobiaslangen * Well, it was worth a try. I'd poke at it myself, but there is no way that my python is clean enough to actually submit anything.
