Clear custom split normal data for multiple objects
When importing .obj and other files, you often end up with dozens of objects that all need their custom split normal data to be cleared, but currently there is no way to clear the data from all objects at once. Instead, you have to go through and click the button for every mesh, which is very time consuming. If 'Alt + Click' or other functionality were to be implemented for this function, as it is for many others in Blender, it would be a great time-saver.

We need multi property editing for everything, not just individual parts of the UI and it can't be hidden behind a Modifier Key like Alt, either. It's unpractical, undiscoverable and only works in certain situations. The design task has been open for over five years now: projects.blender.org/blender/blender/issues/54862
In the meantime you can save this script I made somewhere and execute it on all selected objects.
In the meantime maybe upvote one proposal for visibility. It's been duplicated a bajilion times already. :-/ blender.community/c/rightclickselect/qfcbbc/
unless you use addons: mrven.gumroad.com/l/hPXIh
Hi, so is there any solution up until now? as in 3.6? alt+click the "Clear custom split normal data" does not work. Thanks
No. Unless the devs pick up true multi object property editing this won't be solved any time soon, I'm afraid.
Either learn Python scripting for custom tooling or push this request here: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/qfcbbc/
No other chance unless you or anyone can help out and is willing to work with the devs on it, I'm afraid. On Devtalk any request will be shut down immediately.
