Better increment snapping
Today you can't really control how increment's step, you can by zooming and unzooming but still it's 1,0.1,0.01 and for rotation its 5°...
So I thought it would be handy if we could actually choose the increment's step :)

It was almost done at some point but got abandoned because no one did a review and author most likely lost his interest in development. Happened multiple times already. developer.blender.org/D9621
As a casual Blender user, I'm eternally perplexed by grid, increments, and snapping. I want to be able to just set up a grid with real-world spacing, e.g. 10mm, and snap to the grid as I create and move stuff. Instead there's this weird adaptive behavior that depends on zoom level, and tied to a vague "scale."
2D drawing software uses real-world units, why not Blender?
yes please. very easy to add to snapping menu and super handy!
Snapping distance in perspective mode is controlled by this:
And snapping in orthographic mode is view zoom dependent...
I agree with proposal, snapping increment actually being in snapping popup instead of somewhere else would be good for discoverability.
But I think a switch between user increment and auto zoom one would be a good idea too. Auto zoom snap somehow working in perspective so switch is unified would be cool and more consistent too.
Woah, I never knew this haha thanks!
