Incremental Save Function QOL
I think it would be nice to be able to with one click quickly save as a new file with an incremented suffix number or save as with a date.
Like if you were to go file>save with date it would take a file like "20230101_myproject.blend" then save and open a new file beside that one called "20240410_myproject.blend"
whereas save incremental would take myproject_001.blend and save and open myproject_002.blend

There is an incremental save already, bound to ⎈ Ctrl ⎇ Alt s or via the menu:
If you enabled the Pie Menu addon, you will also find it in the Save pie menu using ⎈ Ctrl S :
Alternatively, when saving for the first time or using Save As, you have this button or the shortcut Numpad + in the file dialog to increment the file name:
