Blender as animated SVG editor

The thing is Blender, already can read the .svg format.
What would be great is to be able to edit, new and existing animated svg files.
Especially now blender becomes so good in 2D and animation.

Blender never was a tool for it, but as Blender is THE animation tool, increasingly getting popular in the 2D world as well. I hope this can be done.
